I read about a cool tool on RecentChanges.info. This tool converts html to wiki syntax (10 wiki dialects to choose from).

I’ve started using pbwiki as a personal workspace and I love it. I’ve been collecting links to online resources about wikis (for a project I’m doing next semester) and having this space to work in is perfect since I use different computers at home, school and work. This is the first time I’ve used a wiki extensively and I’ve been thrilled at how easy it is to use. I also like the clean interface. You can check out my list of resources here. It’s a work in progress. I plan to check out jotspot and seedwiki too (I’ve even set up accounts!), but I haven’t had time to play around with them.

Read an article on the future of libraries by Thomas Frey of the DaVinci Institute. I liked his third recommendation for libraries:

3) Preserve the memories of your own communities. While most libraries have become the document archive of their community, the memories of a community span much more than just documents. What did it sound like to drive down Main Street in 1950? What did it smell like to walk into Joe’s Bakery in the early mornings of 1965? Who are the people in these community photos and why were they important? Memories come in many shapes and forms. Don’t let yours disappear.

This reminded me of Memory Wiki. Could public libraries start memory wikis for their communities?
